Who We Are

This Is Not an Organization.
It Is a Movement.

Rooted in three decades of ministry. Born on the streets of Wall Street. Growing across every sphere of daily life.

Our Conviction

The Church Was Always Meant to Be More

One conviction has never wavered in three decades of ministry: the Church is not a building. It is a Spirit-breathed movement of ordinary people who carry extraordinary peace into every corner of the world they already inhabit.

The Greek word ekklesia โ€” translated "church" in most English Bibles โ€” never meant a Sunday service or a denomination. It meant called-out ones: citizens summoned from private life into public purpose, gathered around the King's authority, and sent back into the world as His representatives.

The Peacemakers Movement exists to recover that original vision โ€” not as a theory, but as a lived reality in every home, workplace, neighborhood, and city we touch.

Our Story

From Wall Street to a Global Movement

๐Ÿ“…

2008 โ€” Wall Street Prayer Ministry

In the aftermath of the global financial crisis, a noon prayer ministry began in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. A million workers flood that district every weekday. No budget. No platform. Only a conviction: the marketplace needed the presence of God.

Inspired by the 1857 Laymen's Prayer Revival โ€” when Jeremiah Lanphier opened a room at noon on a Tuesday and sparked a national awakening โ€” the team began gathering believers in the shadow of capitalism's most visible landmark.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ

2011 โ€” Occupy Wall Street

When the Occupy movement filled Zuccotti Park, our team walked in every evening โ€” not with placards, but with the presence of the Prince of Peace. We found Maria, who served free food to strangers while sleeping on concrete. We found AJ, who offered encouragement to everyone he met. We found former church members, wounded by religion, who had given up on God but not on hope.

Dozens encountered Jesus. When the protests ended and the community dissolved, the ones who had come to faith gathered into small discipleship groups. The movement collapsed โ€” but the seeds had already been planted.

๐ŸŒ

Today โ€” A Growing Global Network

What began as a noon prayer meeting has grown into a network of peacemakers across three continents โ€” from boardrooms to tent cities, from protest rallies to prison cells, from Wall Street to village lanes in Asia. The Peacemakers Movement now equips ordinary believers through Ekklesia Now, Care Circles, Operation Shalom, and HOPE Houses.

This was never the vision of one man. It is the prayer of Jesus โ€” "that they may all be one" โ€” put into practice by every person who chooses to answer.

"The Occupy movement had the passion, the communal spirit, the sacrificial commitment, and the sense of mission that the early church was famous for. They were willing to sleep on concrete for a cause they believed in. But they lacked the one thing that turns a movement into a force of lasting transformation: the Spirit of God." โ€” Silas Titus, Ekklesia Now

Silas Titus

Marketplace prayer leader ยท Writer ยท Prophetic voice

Silas Titus is a marketplace prayer leader, writer, and prophetic voice with one conviction that has never wavered in three decades of ministry: the Church is not a building. It is a Spirit-breathed movement of ordinary people who carry extraordinary peace into every corner of the world.

Born with a passion for the unreached and the unsatisfied โ€” those who sense there must be more to faith than Sunday routines โ€” Silas has spent his life at the intersection of biblical truth and social transformation. His ministry has taken him across three continents: from the prayer-soaked streets of Wall Street to dusty village lanes in Asia, from boardrooms to tent cities, from protest rallies to prison cells.

In 2008, in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, Silas launched a prayer ministry in New York City's Financial District, drawing inspiration from the 1857 Laymen's Prayer Revival. Ekklesia Now is his deepest prayer put into print.

He lives with his family in the northeastern United States, where he continues to teach, disciple, and equip leaders for Kingdom work in today's world.

What We Believe

๐Ÿ“–

Scripture as Foundation

The Bible is the living Word of God โ€” our final authority for faith, practice, and mission. Every principle in the Peacemakers Movement is rooted in Scripture.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Every Believer a Peacemaker

The Great Commission belongs to every believer โ€” not just clergy. Every ordinary person carries the extraordinary presence of God into their everyday sphere.

๐ŸŒฑ

Multiplication Over Addition

The goal is never the biggest gathering โ€” it is the most gatherings. Every Care Circle is pregnant with the next one. The gospel spreads person to person, house to house.

๐Ÿค

Unity Across Boundaries

The ekklesia Jesus is building transcends denominational, racial, and national divides. The visible unity of His people is our most powerful testimony to a watching world.

โšก

Presence Over Programs

We are not building programs. We are cultivating presence โ€” the manifest presence of the living God carried by His people into every room they enter.

๐Ÿ™๏ธ

City Transformation

Shalom begins in the individual and flows outward โ€” through families, into neighborhoods, across cities. We believe communities can be genuinely transformed by the gospel of peace.
